Clean those bad boys

By Jemimah Thompson
Header image for blog. Embossed polymer clay earrings with brass findings on hoops.

So you're rocking your new Made by Mima earrings feeling like a total boss babe and your bronzer, foundation or tomato sauce (no judgement here) from that pie has decided to leave its mark on your new earrings... dun dun dun..

Never fear it's an easy fix.

Simply remove earrings from your lobes (this will make life loads easier), grab a slightly damp cloth, make up wipes or baby wipes, then wipe them duh.

Before wearing, dry those bad boys (cause no one wants moist earrings) and go about slaying your day!

If you have any brass bits these may tarnish over time, sadly brass naturally does this I've told her not to but she's got a mind of her own.

If she tarnishes what do we do?

Sort her out by using a polishing cloth, if you wanna be fancy you can buy brass cleaner, use that sparingly on a microfibre cloth (preferably one you will never want to look at again)... as your cloth will never be the same.

Do the above and you'll have earrings that whisper sweet nothings into your ear, I can personally guarantee the "nothings" part because they are earrings, and they don't talk!

    Hi Jemimah,
I came across your brand a few weeks ago and loved everything about it. I skipped on then, and later couldn’t find you for quite some time. Well, long story short, I finally found you on Instagram and now love to follow your posts. I enjoyed reading your new post today. I have a similar setup, I do polymer clay jewellery too. I have a different design philosophy though. I know how hard it is to get a handmade business from ground up. So, much love to you. You are very talented. Keep up the good work. 🙂🙂
    Kind regards,
    Pranjali
